Animal Olympics

The Game

Animal Olympics is a turn-based tactical game in which players control 3 animals to capture a golden fruit and become the most prestigious tribe.

Direct conflict without death

In Animal Olympics we propose a game of direct conflict, while avoiding the kind of violence in which you need to eliminate your opponents.

We therefore decided on a game where the players' aim is not to eradicate their opponents, but to concentrate on an keeping a prize in its teams hands.

Furthermore, units don't die, they just fall KO to the ground for a few turns, then regain consciousness where they were. This choice not only allows us to reach a younger audience, but also to maintain the dynamic aspect of a turn-based game.

Capture without repetition

With the aim of keeping the game dynamic, we wanted to ensure that it was not repetitive, or even restrictive in its movements.

Indeed, in a turn-based game, movement without conflict and even without action, slows down the pace of the game and detracts from the fun.

It's therefore essential to avoid unnecessary back and forths, forcing us not to bring the target object to a specific location but to hold on to it, which encourages conflict and adds further dynamism to the match.
